FLIGHT SIMULATION

Flight simulator experience

A virtual airline is a platform through which interested persons simulate the operation of an airline and simulate, in our case, the airlines of Edelweiss Air AG. We we act according to our real role model.

Become a virtual Pilot

Briefingroom – Structured Flight Preparation

The Briefingroom is your central place to prepare a flight efficiently and consistently. It brings together the most relevant planning and operational information—so you can confirm your routing, review the overall flight data, and ensure you are ready for departure with minimal tool switching.
By using a standard briefing flow, you reduce errors, gain a clearer operational picture, and support a smoother experience for both pilots and OPS. The objective is simple: more precision, more realism, and a briefing workflow that mirrors real airline operations.

Our Own EFB – For More Precise Flight Planning

At Edelweiss Virtual, we prioritize precision and realism to make virtual flying as authentic as possible. That’s why we’ve developed our own EFB (Electronic Flight Bag) to help you plan your flights more accurately and efficiently. Our EFB is modeled after the real system used by Edelweiss Air, providing you with all the necessary tools and information to prepare your flight. With this digital flight planner, you’ll have access to flight schedules, weather data, checklists, and navigation details, all at your fingertips, allowing you to create a flight experience that closely mirrors real-world operations.

Official SIMBRIEF – OFP Layouts of Edelweiss and Swiss

In addition to our EFB, we also provide official OFP (Operating Flight Plan) layouts, based on the real flight plans used by Edelweiss Air and Swiss. These precise and structured flight plans offer a detailed overview of your flight, including the planned route, altitudes, wind and weather conditions, and specific information for each leg of the flight. Our goal is to offer you the experience of a real pilot, working with the same professional resources that are used by real-world airlines.

Official Airline Manuals – Structured Like the Real Thing

We provide a complete set of airline-style manuals to support realistic operations across Edelweiss Virtual. These handbooks are designed to reflect real-world documentation standards—structured, consistent, and written to be usable in day-to-day flying rather than just “nice to have” reference material.
From operational guidance and standard procedures to communication principles and workflow fundamentals, our manuals help ensure that every pilot works with the same baseline and the same expectations. The goal is a professional, predictable environment: clearer procedures, fewer uncertainties, and a virtual airline experience that feels organised and authentic—just like in real airline operations.

EDWOPS INFO – ACARS Standards

ACARS/TELEX communication with EDWOPS is conducted via the cockpit MCDU. Use this channel for operational communication only—such as clearances, operational questions, delays, or support requests.
To ensure timely handling for all flights, keep messages concise, structured, and relevant to operations. Non-operational or “chat” messages reduce availability and may delay support to other crews. When contacting EDWOPS, include your callsign, position/phase of flight, and the specific request to enable an efficient response.

Note: These are live images from a flight simulator (not real-world airline flights). The display automatically switches between active pilots and may pause at times when no one is online. This service is run by volunteers.
